Brussels, 24 June 2021 - With the departure of CEO Steven Cosyns and Creative Directors Seb De Valck and Arnaud Pitz, BBDO is reorganising its management. A new management team of four BBDO 'die hards' will take charge of the agency in the coming months. Stefaan Roelen (COO), Eva De Gendt (CCO), Sofie Verstreken (CSO) and Dieter Vandecappelle (CFO) will build on the positive momentum which resulted in the title "Agency of the Year" in 2020. Stefaan Roelen will be interim CEO.
Steven Cosyns, who led the agency for 9 years, and two Creative Directors, Seb De Valck and Arnaud Pitz, announced to leave the company and to take a new direction together. Current Chief of Operations, Stefaan Roelen, is taking over as interim CEO in the meantime. The renewed management has been given the mandate by BBDO Europe’s management to look for a new CEO in the coming months. Together with Commercial Director Eva De Gendt, Strategic Director Sofie Verstreken and Financial Director Dieter Vandecappelle, BBDO will also appoint a new creative direction. Cosyns, De Valck and Pitz will remain on board for a while to ensure a smooth transition.
The successors could come from within the company
The agency boasts a rich team of strong senior creative profiles who have taken the agency to its creative top. The new management team will carry forward the business strategy that the company installed a few years ago and which has led to great successes.
The positions sought can either come from within the organisation or be recruited externally. The replacements are expected to be named after the summer.
