Creative Content Director

We are looking for a Creative Content Director with an inspiring vision on content, copy and social (media) strategy.

Your role

  • BBDO is on a mission to build even stronger, stickier brands with raised awareness and brand affinity. Words and content are a crucial part of the puzzle to get us there, and that will be your challenge.
  • You develop and maintain the brand's voice standards and messaging strategy to drive brand consistency and evolution.
  • With your inspiring vision on content, copy and social (media) strategy you guide and spark your team of copywriters and content creators to make their work (even) better.
  • You recognize and assess excellent copy. You oversee, edit (quality control) and advise on (long) copy and content for all touch points
    – from brand campaigns to tone of voice workshops, from direct mails to content articles, from Instagram stories to Google ads, from product descriptions to radio scripts and from online video to far beyond.

  • You also write copy yourself. The scope of your role is broad and requires the ability to seamlessly switch between micro and macro level views, and direct others to do the same.
  • You help to manage content calendars and enrich them with appropriate occasions and important moments for the brand.
  • You use data to guide smarter creative decisions. You act upon opportunities, coming from the news, consumer behavior, customer insights, business environment and results.
  • You think along with, make estimates about and give advice on planning.
  • You report to our Creative Directors and work in tandem with the design lead to inspire our teams and elevate our brands. Together you push to move the brand forward and identify opportunities. You create a rock-solid, holistic creative strategy that spans across channels and ladders up to brand goals.
  • You help make our digital transformation happen, working closely together with the digital team.


Your profile

  • You are a Dutch native copy hero with a passion for content across integrated channels supported by a solid career in (digital and direct) advertising across a range of agencies, sectors or brands.
  • You have a heart in creativity and language in any form. You are a real copy crafter. Obsessed to write things differently. No-nonsense. Simple but smart.
  • Digital is your middle name.
  • You breathe Gen Z and are passionate about their habits and universe.
  • You are a real mentor to your team. You guide, coach and make them grow.
  • You have proven experience in campaign and system thinking.
  • Pace thrills you and doesn’t derail you.
  • You have a positive spirit, a good sense of humor and are able to put things into perspective.
  • You have an eye for detail.
  • You are a can-do manager, not afraid to get your hands dirty.
