BBDO focuses on growth: Barbara Vangheluwe becomes new CEO

BBDO Belgium brings a familiar face and a strong reference back to the sector. Barbara Vangheluwe is no stranger to the world of communications

She experienced the glory years at Y&R in the nineties, she represents Ogilvy's legendary Proximus period and led Leo Burnett until the agency joined the Publicis network.

Her experience is unique having worked on the advertiser's side at Proximus, followed by her media role as Commercial Director at De Persgroep Publishing. In her last position as CEO of Uitgeverij Averbode, she was responsible for the digitalisation and modernisation of the iconic educational publisher.

After the recent reinforcement of the creative leadership with Gregory Ginterdaele and Antoinette Ribas, Vangheluwe completes the senior executive team and BBDO is ready to continue its We create effectiveness promise and make her growth ambitions concrete.
